PARTHENON IN YOUR PALM
Experience fine hospitality and Greek
Parthenon in your palm: Enjoy an archeology class from your balcony in a sensibly decorated space.
Pericles’ House is ideal for the lover of history and archeology. It offers a most convenient location to explore museums, major archeological sites, Athens night life, the hip neighborhood of Psyrri, and Ermou street the major shopping hub of the city.
Pericles’ House is situated on Ifestou st, a market with a five thousand year history dating back to prehistory. To this date, it maintains a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. Yet, once one enters the House, one feels the aura of the Parthenon and the adjacent Ancient Agora with the Temple of Ifestos.

Pericles' House
Pericles’ House was built in 1929. It initially served as an industrial site+home of the ironsmith who built it. The current owner spends her time between California and Greece. During her time away, she likes to share her “sacred space” with visitors of Athens who want to become immersed in Periclean antiquity. The House was recently renovated with marble surfaces, ironwork and hardwood floors. If you do not mind climbing stairs, the House will reward you with the best view to the Parthenon, the Temple of Ifestos, the Museum of the Ancient Agora, the Roman Agora and the Library of Emperor Adrian, Byzantine monuments and Lycabettus Hill.
The owner strives to offer those who stay here genuine filoxenia-hospitality. She takes pride in her family’s deep roots in this part of old Athens.
Upon request, we provide curated services for special occasions.
